Online Banking Customers, Beware: Chinese Government Is After Your Financial And Personal Data!

Back, in December 2009 Google Inc. noticed that it is under a massive hacking attack. Within days it released this statement:
“In mid-December, we detected a highly sophisticated and targeted attack on our corporate infrastructure originating from China that resulted in the theft of intellectual property from Google. However, it soon became clear that what at first appeared to be solely a security incident—albeit a significant one—was something quite different.”
Since then it’s been found that apart of Google itself, this hacking attack targeted over 30 major American corporations, targeting financial and online banking data, personal and private information, and even somehow reaching into the media sector.
Now U.S. security analysts closed in on one of the perpetrators of this crime – a Chinese programmer closely affiliated with the Chinese government.
His identity became known when a part of the code used in this attack surfaced in a post attributed to the suspect in question on a Chinese-language information security message board, where he stated that this is a project he’s working on with backing from the Chinese government. What’s really interesting, is that this statement was posted prior to the attack actually taking place.
At the same time USA based security analysts investigating this attack came to the conclusion that the suspect in question was only a freelance programmer, not involved in actual planning and execution of this hacking attack, and was only employed for writing a piece of the code for the final hacking software.
Furthermore, USA security analysts say they are confident this attack originated from Shanghai Jiaotong University and Lanxiang Vocational School in China, while the Chinese authorities laughed off and downplayed the incident.
